WELCOME to the first edition of Geelong Coast Kids, dedicated to connecting parents in our wonderful community.
We’ve put together 40 glossy pages of family fun that’s available to pick up free at various places across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast.
Keep an eye out and you’re bound to find us at places like childcare facilities, shopping centres, clinics, family-friendly venues and anywhere else parents take their kids.
We’ll keep topping up supplies over the holidays, so everyone can grab a copy of their own.
While the magazine’s a big focus, Geelong Coast Kids is actually a multi-channel platform to share everything young families need to know about local ideas, advice and activities. After reading these pages, visit our website at geelongcoastkids.com.au and our Facebook page to see how it all works together.
If, like me, you have a young, growing family, I’m sure you’ll find it a really helpful, fun and convenient collection of information and opportunities to connect with other parents.
We’d like lots of feedback too, so you’re invited to share your thoughts with us any time. Just email the address provided or message us on Facebook.
The magazine combines the resources of Geelong Coast Kids with the team at Kids Voice to have the region truly covered.
All readers’ favourite parts of Kids Voice are included, along with additional features to keep local parents entertained and informed.
Kids’ Voice’s Michele Mitten kicks off the content in this issue with a great product review on the next page, then a little later on I catch up with local mum Sarah Scott and adorable daughter Leila (that’s them on the cover).
Elsewhere we present all sorts of stories, columns, picture spreads, tips and advice.
Geelong Coast Kids really does have something for everyone who wants to be involved in the lives of their kids and their community.
When you’ve finished reading, remember to ‘like’ us on Facebook – we’re regularly posting updates, videos, competitions and more to keep our friends informed, entertained and connected.
Thanks for being part of Geelong Coast Kids!
