Cultural treats at Narana

Meet the Indigenous locals at Narana Creations during school holidays.

Families can ‘Experience Narana’ with guided cultural tours of Geelong’s premier Indigenous centre during summer holidays.
Children will be intrigued as they listen and learn about the world’s oldest living culture with Narana’s expert cultural interpreters during one-and-a-half-hour guided tours twice daily at 1pm and 2pm Mondays to Fridays.
Narana’s new School Holiday Guided Tour program is designed as a fun, interactive and educational family activity suitable for all age groups and costs just $15.
Participants can enjoy an Indigenous cultural artefacts talk or get back to nature while strolling through the Curragundi Native Garrden Walk to learn about traditional bush medicine and food plants.
Along the way, kids can encounter Narana’s emus and wallabies or take an opportunity to learn how to throw a boomerang.
After the tour they can even paint their own boomerang to take a little bit of Narana home after their visit.
Narana also offers all-day breakfasts and lunches, or customers can just enjoy a cup of coffee at Café Narana’s indoor and outdoor dining options.
Narana’s gallery boasts an extensive collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artwork on display.
Kids can also explore the adventure playground or join parents to inspect Narana’s retail store.
Groups are limited to 20 people per session, departing the Narana Shop. Bookings are recommended by phoning 5241 5700 or emailing amelia@narana.com.au.
Visitor feedback on Facebook is testament to Narana’s guided tours.
