Convoy Geelong is back, with hundreds of trucks and motorbikes to travel together for 50km to raise funds for kids with cancer.

The Convoy returns after a year off and will include the introduction of a Show and Shine plus substantially reduced registration fees for participants.

The Camp Quality Convoy Victoria starts and ends at Avalon Airport on 7 April.

Australia provider of aftermarket truck and trailer parts, Truckline, will continue its generous support of the event and is also entering a special guest in the Convoy – a new International Pro-star demonstration truck that’s expected to draw a lot of interest from truck enthusiasts.

The Convoy holds special meaning for Truckline Territory Business Manager (VIC/TAS) Casey Stewart and her family. Casey sadly lost her niece to childhood cancer at just five years of age.

“It was a terrible tragedy for my family when we lost my niece, so I’m keen to do anything I can to support other families living with cancer,” Casey said.

“Camp Quality is an incredible organisation that does so much for children growing up with cancer and their families. The programs and services offered to these children and their parents and siblings have a lasting impact and are such a great help through such a difficult time.”

Camp Quality State Manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, Kendra Overall acknowledged that continued support from Truckline and other sponsors, including principal partner Viva Energy, allowed the event to return and focus on raising as much money as possible.

This year’s convoy aims to raise $100,000.
